Why I Love My Agent

One would think I'd have posted about signing with my agent, Katie Grimm of Don Congdon Associates, when it happened over four months ago because that was
VERY EXCITING NEWS!!!
Four months ago I would have said I liked my agent without knowing exactly why,
outside of the fact that she appreciated my novel and wanted to represent me.
But I am way better suited to sing her praises NOW than I would have been THEN.

So why do I love my agent? Let me count the ways:

My agent is
Astute
Aware
Meticulous
My agent communicates
Quickly
Succinctly
Insightfully
 My agent encourages me
Kindly
Humorously
Consistently

When I began my  quest for literary representation
I had few expectations
Just wanted an agent
Who I could like
Never expected to find an agent
I could love

WHAT I'VE BEEN READING LATELY: Lost It (K. Tracy) Waiting For Normal (L.Connor)
Between Shades of Gray (R. Sepetys) Not That Kind of Girl (S. Vivian)
Avalon High (M. Cabot) Where I Live (E. Spinelli) Whale Talk (C. Crutcher)
Countdown (D. Wiles) Stolen Child (M. F. Skrypuch)

  6. This must have been so exciting to write! And it's a thrill to read. I'm so glad agents are still worth getting, even in this topsy-turvy pubbing landscape.

Katie Grimm sounds like a VERY worthwhile agent.

    Hugs!!
