Isn't she cute?
Cute enough that you can forgive me for forgetting that I needed to post today?
The good news is that I'm plugging along with revisions.
But my life is so full of distractions.
And I'm emotionally exhausted.
What's going on with all of you, Wipsters?
No worries.
ReplyDeleteReal life zaniness always takes precedence.
Good to hear you're getting on with revisions despite the other stuff. I hear ya.
I'm trying to hone my focus--if that's possible for a writer--to one project at a time, even though I've got two revisions and a smattering of new ideas that are trying to claim the largest piece of real estate in my brain.
This week, my sister and I are heading back east and I'll be seeing places I haven't seen in almost 20 years. Bit of a family reunion over the Thanksgiving weekend in Canada.
Aside from that NaNo fast approaches.
Do you ever wish you could switch off parts of your busy life and just chillax? Even though it's supposed to be a vacation, of sorts, something tells me I won't be resting much, at all, in the coming week.
Here's to writing and all the pains and gains that go with it!
Cheers,
Tonette
Glad to hear you're making progress with your revisions! I'm eager to return to revisionland...just waiting on some notes. Feeling a little lost with nothing on the go right now, so maybe it's time to ponder what's next. *opens idea file*
ReplyDeleteNo problems! I've been fighting something. Busy with homeschooling and today a 504 meeting about son's educational plan at his student center. I came home and collapsed after taking some meds. Yay on making progress on your revisions. I need to do the same!
ReplyDeleteI definitely forgive you! You wouldn't believe the amount of things I forget these days. Thankfully I haven't forgotten about my son somewhere...yet. So glad to hear you're still busy revising. I have to launch into an old manuscript, but I'm kind of dreading it, so I've been letting myself get caught up in busyness the last few days. I am talking myself toward it though. Soon!
ReplyDeleteHugs, hugs, and hugs!!! Plugging away here, though anxiety is admittedly slowing me down. Stupid money. But we all know where anxiety gets us - nowhere. So, hello keyboard. Rooting for you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI've missed you and your posts, but life has a way of getting in the way, doesn't it? I just hit the "send" button on a batch of science articles, and now I'm allowing myself one big breath before I launch into another novel revision. How I wish you were here for a coffee date. Sigh. Many, many hugs to you, my friend.
ReplyDelete((Hugs)) Angelina! And thanks for hosting this month! I'm in heaven! I'm at the Highlights Foundation workshop Room to Create and I'm finding so many wonderful things to explore in my WIP. Sandy Asher and Linda Oatman High are just amazing! And the other writers are fabulous (only 4 of us). What a gift this has been.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I can't keep myself from hitting that sudden rash of "Holy crap, what the hell am I doing" vibes, but Sandy and Linda talked me off the ledge. So...I've actually worked in about 2000 words already. And gotten a little perspective as well.
We should all have at least one week like this every year!
Rock on, Wipsters!
Glad to hear your revisions are moving along. :)
